Rest on the lake Synevir

Synevyr is the most famous and largest mountain lake in Ukraine, the main pearl of the National Nature Park of the same name. It is located in the Zakarpattia region. According to legend, the lake was formed from the bitter tears of Blue, the daughter of a rich count. Her lover, the shepherd Vira, was brutally killed at this place.

Rest by the lake – what to do?

The lake is located at an altitude of 989 meters above sea level and surrounded by dense forest - the scenery here is incredibly picturesque. The water in it is clear, but always cold. In the middle of the lake there is a small island, thanks to which it is called the «Sea Eye of the Carpathians».

On Synevyr rest is always quiet. Organized in the Carpathians camping is an ideal place to relax. Due to the tourist popularity, the infrastructure around the lake is well-developed. There are places for recreation with tents, but you can turn to the private sector and rent a house in the Carpathian forest. Swimming in the lake is prohibited, but you can go rafting. Also, available for tourists horseback riding, cycling. It will not be possible to catch fish on the lake, but fishing in the Carpathians is possible on trout farms.

In addition, the park has many sources of useful mineral waters. And near the lake is the Museum of Forest and Rafting. It introduces the intricacies of the work of loggers.

Arriving in Synevyr, housing can be rented on site. But it is better to book a suitable house in advance. Holidays on the lake in the Carpathians are popular at any time of year, so you can rent a house on Lake Synevyr for any budget. The nearest settlement is the village of Synevyrska Polyana.
